AI Without Information Strategy? Why Most Organisations Are Building on Sand

I am a highly experienced information & data management and privacy professional with over 20 years’ experience. I am the CEO and Director of Data Potentials, a consultancy unlocking organisations information, data and privacy potential.

Before this I was Head of Information Strategy at Jisc (2015-2022), a digital and data company serving the Higher Education sector. I was the strategic lead of 5 information, data, compliance and analytics teams. I previously worked for Dorset Council as the records manager and then corporate information manager.

I work with senior stakeholders and teams across organisations to drive best practice information and data management and governance, and underpinning and enabling AI and analytics programmes, with the aim of creating sector-leading services and innovation and putting information, data and privacy at the heart of decision making. I also provide guidance and support with the implementation of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint, Teams and Copilot.
